Automotive Recall Preparedness and Early Warning
Recognise emerging concerns earlier and give your team a clear way to respond. A potential component safety issue may first appear in complaints, warranty data, supplier reports or field experience. Those signals need to reach the right people, trigger investigation and support a timely decision.
RQA reviews the route from first report to potential recall, and helps manufacturers prepare their people and procedures for the demands of a live event.
Identify and escalate concerns
We assess how information is recorded, connected and investigated; who owns each decision; when matters are escalated; and how customers are kept informed. We also review how potentially affected components would be traced across production batches, customers and markets.
Plan, train and test
Plan
Develop or review recall procedures, responsibilities, decision records and communication arrangements, including interfaces with OEMS, tier suppliers and other relevant parties.
Train
Help teams recognise potential safety and compliance concerns, understand their recall roles and handle the decisions and communications that follow.
Test
Run a realistic mock recall simulation exercise to test traceability, escalation, information sharing and decision making. Capture gaps and agree actions before an incident occurs.
Related support
Where appropriate, RQA can connect this work with crisis planning, crisis communications and business continuity reviews and exercises.
Discuss your requirements
Discuss an early warning review, recall plan, training session or simulation.
