Food sector
- The number of recall events and alerts increased across several regulators including the US FDA, USDA, EU RASFF, Canada, France and the UK FSA.
- For the US FDA, microbiological contamination was the leading cause by product count, responsible for around 43% of recalled products, while allergens accounted for 37% of recall events.
