Recall Effectiveness Checks

Should you have been in the unfortunate position of having had to issue a product recall, how do you know if the affected products have actually been removed from the retail shelf?

RQA can visit a certain percentage of stores following a product safety recall to ensure that the recall has been effective, and the correct products have been removed from shelf. In our experience, we have seen the wrong product being removed by retailers as well as no products being removed at all. We have even encountered independent retailers discounting the affected product instead of removing it from sale!

By checking the correct products have been removed, you can avoid costly returns or being accused of not having taken enough action to ensure the safety of consumers.  If we find any product that should have been recalled, we can purchase it so that it is no longer available to consumers.
